OUTFRONT, GLAAD Partner to “Protect Our Pride”

OUTFRONT is proud to announce the launch of the “Protect Our Pride” campaign in partnership with GLAAD as we celebrate Pride throughout the month of June.

For a donation of $25 to GLAAD, individuals can have their photo, name, and one of six personalized messages displayed on digital billboards nationwide. The available messages include "Protect All Love," “Protect My Love,” "Protect My Family," "Protect My Friend," and "Protect My Joy." Additionally, LGBTQ-owned businesses can opt for the "Protect My Business" message with a $250 donation.

Designed by GLAAD, this year’s initiative evolved from a campaign with OUTFRONT from earlier this year, expanding to spotlight the LGBTQ community with more reach and depth. 

"While support for LGBTQ equality has reached an all-time high, allyship must now turn into action," said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. "This June, media, content creators, and corporate leaders must lead and respond to hate with undeterred support for the LGBTQ community, including LGBTQ employees, shareholders and consumers and protect all that the LGBTQ movement has accomplished. Now is the time to Protect Our Pride."

“It’s important that we continue partnering with organizations like GLAAD to continue to elevate queer voices and create visibility on our incredible assets nationwide,” said Jake Beaven-Parshall, co-chair of the Out@OUTFRONT employee resource group. “We are proud to collaborate with GLAAD once again this year to celebrate PRIDE.”

This campaign partnership follows the success of last year's, entitled 15 Seconds of Fabulous. "We are thrilled to enter our second year of partnership with GLAAD, building on the recent ‘Protect This Kid’ campaign messaging,” said Liz Rave, Vice President, Marketing at OUTFRONT. “Our media is unmatched in its ability to provide fame while connecting with the community. Dedicating space to drive awareness and donations for an important organization continues to deliver on our overall purpose."

All funds raised through the "Protect Our Pride" campaign will go directly to GLAAD, an organization dedicated to accelerating acceptance and advancing equality for the LGBTQ community. 

Our Pride celebration continues throughout June on the Moments by OUTFRONT content platform, running across screens in transit systems in New York, Miami, and San Francisco.

Moments in Culture, in partnership with Artsy, presents the Celebrating LGBTQ+ Art: From Canvas to Club content series, which is curated to showcase beautiful works celebrating Pride by artists in the LGBTQ+ community.

Moments in Art, in partnership with MoMA, highlights The Rainbow Flag: Bright, Bold, and Beautiful, a children’s book that tells the story of the creation of the Rainbow PRIDE flag that has become so symbolic today.
